Af og til are three little Icelandic words and in plain English they literally mean “occasionally” …which perfectly describes my blogging habits since 2003 when Af og til was first established. Doing Web stuff has been both my work and my hobby for the past ten years. I have been working on web based applications and solutions since 1998 deploying my first website in June 1998. It was a hand made static HTML beauty built with the help of Netscape navigator.
My website career started with a company called HELP Think-tank in Iceland in 1998 it later became NCD which after a few rebranding exercises ended up as VYRE. After lots of work related travels in 2000 and 2001 I moved permanently to London to work in the VYRE UK office. In 2003 VYRE was aquired by Offstump Ltd. Offstump were Digital Asset Management and digital video experts in the UK and Europe but in 2005 they changed the name to VYRE Ltd.
In June 2005 I had a little boy and decided to head back to Iceland to be closer to family and friends. In February 2006 I joined TM Software – Origo. For the past 4 years I’ve worked on lots of challenging projects both as a consultant and as a project manager.
